Ann grew up in the north end of Seattle and graduated from Seattle University, majoring in Education K-12 and History. She moved to Mount Vernon to accept a teaching position at Washington Elementary and now calls the valley her home. She has two grown children, one living in MV and one in the Boston area. Ann has taught grades K- 4 and spent several years as a reading facilitator and data coordinator.

After retiring, Ann found herself looking for something…..wondering what to do? She followed the advice of a good friend (Jodi Boon) and found herself at Skagit Academy. Ann currently teaches Core Language Arts to 3rd and 4th graders. She is also an advisor, assisting families with curriculum/remote learning. BEST JOB, EVER!

In her spare time you will find her walking her dog, Cooper, working in her yard, or perhaps reading a book, knitting, or putting a puzzle together. If excitement calls, she packs her bags and heads for Boston or Europe. She enjoys traveling and loves exploring new places. Can you guess her favorite place? (Ireland)
